I am sea kayaker, sailor, boatbuilder, and writer with a passion for exploring and outdoor adventures on land and sea. As the author of four books, several ongoing blogs, and hundreds of articles in print and online, I am a writer who understands the value of visual images as well as prose in conveying ideas. As a result I am an enthusiastic photographer fascinated with the art and technology of capturing imagery of the world around me. Through photography I strive to preserve and share my visions of the beauty of nature, people and the things they create as I find them in my lens.
